Get to the start, walk back to your car
The Snowies Alpine Walk is a world-class 4-day, 55 km walk through the alpine heart of Kosciuszko National Park, from Guthega Village to Bullocks Flat, past glacial lakes, historic huts and the summit of Mount Kosciuszko. With very limited public transport in the mountains outside winter, our morning shuttle gets you to the trailhead so you can walk back to your car.
- Day walkers: drive yourself to the end of your walk and take our shuttle to the start.
- Walking the full 4-day circuit: leave your car at Bullocks Flat and take the morning shuttle up to Guthega.

How to get to the Snowies Alpine Walk
The Snowies Alpine Walk starts at Guthega Village and finishes at Bullocks Flat (Skitube car park D), inside Kosciuszko National Park. Jindabyne is the nearest town and your base for the walk. There are no public transport services to the trailheads, so most walkers park at the finish and take a shuttle to the start. Parking is limited at Guthega, Charlotte Pass, Perisher and Bullocks Flat, and street parking at Charlotte Pass is very limited, so a shuttle saves you a car shuffle. See NSW National Parks visitor information for track conditions and park passes.
- Getting to Jindabyne: drive about 2.5 hours from Canberra or 6 hours from Sydney. The nearest airport with regular flights is Canberra Airport, and Snowlink runs private transfers from Canberra Airport to Jindabyne from $609 one way for 1–4 people (plus the $45 airport pick-up fee).
- Full 4-day walk: leave your car at Bullocks Flat, where the walk ends. Our morning shuttle leaves Skitube car park D at about 8.30am and drops you at the Guthega Village trailhead ($77 per person plus National Park entry).
- Starting from Jindabyne: we leave the National Park Visitor Centre at about 8.45am for Perisher ($57), Charlotte Pass or Guthega ($67), plus National Park entry.
- Day walks and sections: Bullocks Flat to Perisher for the day 4 walk down ($62), Perisher to Charlotte Pass ($41) and Charlotte Pass to Guthega ($57).
- Back to Jindabyne after your walk: Bullocks Flat to Jindabyne is $29 per person.
Shuttles run October to April, subject to demand and availability, with a minimum of 4 passengers. *Times are approximate. Groups of 1–3 can book a private transfer. National Park entry is added to fares that pass through the park gates.

Walkers love the local knowledge
Lars provides the best shuttle service in town. He provided us with the best advice on which trails to follow to summit Mt. Kosciuszko. He was on time to pick us up both in the morning and in the afternoon.
Lars helped me out with transfers, suggested beautiful hikes among other fun summer activities, got me to climb Mount Kosciusko, and most importantly, organised for me to see some BRUMBIES!
Lars and Leanne were super helpful in sorting out what trips we needed last minute, and responded to all communication very promptly. Their prices are very reasonable, especially for service offered.
Snowlink saved our holiday. We would have been stranded in Jindabyne without them as we were visiting outside peak ski season. … Punctual and reliable, clean vehicles, friendly & welcoming.
